Warren Saunders, PsyD, MBA

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Blue Bell, PA. What I bring to the table that sets me apart from most other therapists is an emphasis on using formal processes to develop solutions to problems. My education began with computer programming and decision science before I transitioned to psychology. My BS in Psychology is from Carnegie Mellon, and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Master of Business Administration are from Widener University.

My approach in therapy sessions tends to begin with recognizing and interpreting patterns and themes, then recommending specific interventions to experiment with, and evaluating their outcomes to refine further recommendations. I am unlikely to ever ask, “How does that make you feel?”, and very likely to ask, “What are you going to do about that?” I find it more helpful to make concrete plans of action in the present than to stay stuck ruminating.

Clients

Because of my demeanor and the insurance I take, I do well with many employees of Merck, Johnson and Johnson, and the University of Pennsylvania system, and their families. I see a lot of medical professionals, scientists, programmers, teachers, and engineers, but not exclusively. I also work with teens and children, retirees, divorced parents, and with men who are initially reluctant to try therapy.
